Bosnia and Herzegovina’s next Chairman of the Council of Ministers will be nominated by the tripartite Presidency and confirmed by the House of Representatives following the October 2026 general elections. The position requires cross-ethnic consensus among Bosniak, Croat, and Serb parties in a fragmented landscape where no bloc holds a clear majority. This structure keeps implied probabilities tightly clustered among leading contenders such as Semir Efendić, Denis Bećirović, Bakir Izetbegović, Elmedin Konaković, and Denis Zvizdić, as traders price in the uncertainty of coalition talks. Current odds reflect the absence of decisive pre-election signals, with lower probabilities assigned to figures like Zoran Tegeltija and Dragan Čović due to narrower support bases. Election outcomes and subsequent parliamentary negotiations will determine which candidate secures the necessary approvals.
