Lakers lead the market at 58% as LeBron James' incumbent team heading into 2026 free agency after he exercised his 2025-26 player option. Traders price in continuity following eight seasons in Los Angeles, his ongoing role in the rotation, and the franchise's willingness to negotiate a new deal despite roster flexibility needs. Cleveland sits at 30% on the strength of a potential homecoming narrative and long-term ties, though cap constraints and James' age limit upside. Clippers, Warriors, and other suitors trail due to apron limitations and competing priorities, with recent reporting highlighting James' criteria for competitive situations over minimum-salary options. The wisdom of crowds reflects these roster-building realities and James' noncommittal comments on retirement or relocation.
