Corbin Carroll's commanding position as the MLB triples leader stems from his elite speed and aggressive baserunning, which have produced 16 triples this season for the Diamondbacks—well ahead of the nearest challengers. The speedy outfielder has consistently delivered double-digit triples across recent campaigns, leveraging his ability to stretch hits into extra bases on gaps and in the outfield gaps. With roughly two weeks remaining, the large margin makes a reversal unlikely absent a sharp surge from multiple pursuers. Potential shifts could arise from Carroll sustaining an injury that limits his remaining games or an unusually high volume of triples by players like Jake McCarthy or Otto Lopez in the final stretch, though such outcomes remain low-probability given current form and historical patterns.
