Pat Murphy holds the leading position in the NL Manager of the Year market due to guiding the Milwaukee Brewers to a franchise-record 103 wins and the best record in baseball during the 2026 regular season. The BBWAA voters, who submit ballots before the postseason, have recognized Murphy’s consistent success after he already earned the award in each of his first two seasons with the club. Walt Weiss ranks second on the strength of the Atlanta Braves’ improved performance and NL East title under the first-year manager. Other candidates trail significantly, reflecting narrower support for teams that posted solid but less dominant regular-season results. The award resolution depends on final regular-season voting tallies announced in November.
