Lula maintains a commanding lead in Rio Grande do Norte first-round polling, with recent state surveys showing him at 47-58% against Flávio Bolsonaro at 20-29% and all other candidates in single digits or lower. This positioning reflects entrenched Northeast voter preferences for the incumbent PT president, reinforced by alignment on social programs and economic policies. Opposition support remains fragmented across multiple right-leaning contenders including Bolsonaro, Ronaldo Caiado, Romeu Zema, Renan Santos, and Augusto Cury, preventing any single challenger from consolidating enough votes for a plurality. With the October 4 first round approaching, trader consensus at 97.5% for Lula tracks these consistent regional gaps, though late campaign shifts, turnout variations, or unexpected national events could still narrow the margin in the final weeks.
