Lula maintains a commanding lead in Pernambuco for the 2026 first-round presidential contest, reflecting the state's longstanding status as a Northeast PT stronghold where recent Datafolha and Quaest surveys place him at 54-55% against Flávio Bolsonaro's 19-24% and single-digit shares for all other candidates. This positioning aligns with consistent government approval metrics near 60% and the absence of major campaign disruptions or endorsements that have altered statewide intentions since the formal period began. Trader consensus near 96% tracks these repeated samples showing double-digit margins. Potential shifts could still arise from late-campaign turnout changes, coalition realignments, or eligibility rulings, though no such developments have materialized in the latest August-September polling.
