Flávio Bolsonaro maintains a commanding lead in Mato Grosso do Sul polling for the October 2026 first-round presidential vote, with recent AtlasIntel and Real Time surveys showing him at 41-46% against Lula at 32-33% amid double-digit margins. This positioning stems from the state's Center-West alignment with PL-aligned candidates, reinforced by local support for Governor Eduardo Riedel and the broader consolidation of Bolsonarista voters following Jair Bolsonaro's ineligibility. Fragmented opposition fields, including Ronaldo Caiado, Renan Santos, and Romeu Zema in low single digits, limit challenges. Late shifts among undecided voters or a major national event could narrow the gap, though current trends point to a decisive first-place finish in the state.
