Flávio Bolsonaro maintains a commanding lead in Mato Grosso polling for the October 2026 first-round presidential vote, consistently registering 41-47% support against Lula's 28-33% in recent Real Time Big Data and Percent Brasil surveys, with all other listed candidates below 10%. The state's agricultural economy and conservative voter base have long favored bolsonarista candidates, amplified by national momentum from Supreme Court disputes involving Justice André Mendonça that have energized right-wing turnout. Trader consensus at 96% reflects this sustained double-digit margin and the absence of viable challengers capable of overtaking him locally. A major late scandal, sharp drop in evangelical or rural mobilization, or unexpected surge by fragmented right-wing alternatives like Ronaldo Caiado could narrow the gap, though no such shift has materialized in the final weeks.
