The Justice Department’s release of nearly 3.5 million pages of Epstein investigative files under the 2025 Transparency Act, completed in January 2026, has produced no new U.S. indictments or arrests despite containing references to prominent figures. Officials have stated the materials lack credible evidence meeting prosecutorial thresholds for charges beyond those against Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Bipartisan congressional pressure for accountability continues, yet has yielded only resignations and reputational consequences rather than prosecutions. This pattern of disclosures without supporting evidence for additional cases underpins the strong trader consensus against new charges by the end of 2026.
