Hearts and Celtic share the Scottish Premiership summit on 70 points entering the post-split phase, with Rangers lurking one point adrift at 69 despite superior +35 goal difference, fueling trader consensus for a nail-biting finish among these three contenders. Celtic's 3-1 opening win over Falkirk yesterday—powered by Daizen Maeda's brace—leveled them atop the table, while Hearts edged Hibernian 1-0 and Rangers thrashed Motherwell 4-2 in their respective post-split openers, preserving the deadlock after 33-34 games played. Pivotal upcoming fixtures include Hearts hosting Rangers at Tynecastle on May 4, Celtic welcoming Rangers in an Old Firm derby on May 10, and a potential title-deciding Celtic vs Hearts clash on the final day. Hearts' campaign is clouded by season-ending injuries to starters Oisin McEntee and Tomas Magnusson, alongside Rangers' ongoing absentee issues, amplifying the uncertainty in this fiercely contested race.
