This market will resolve according to the total precipitation in mm in Seoul in July, 2026, according to the Korea Meteorological Administration's information for the region/branch of "Seoul". If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket. If the relevant data is not available by October 7, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, another credible resolution source will be chosen. Any revisions to precipitation recorded after data is finalized for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.Seoul's July precipitation total has been confirmed well above the 100mm threshold by Korea Meteorological Administration observations, driving the market's near-certain consensus on the 100mm+ outcome. This aligns with the East Asian summer monsoon, which delivers the region's peak rainfall through frequent heavy showers and thunderstorms, often totaling 250–350mm or more in central areas like Seoul based on long-term climatology. Mid-July developments, including intensified rainfall episodes with hourly rates up to 80mm across the Seoul metropolitan area, reinforced accumulation well beyond lower brackets. Official measurements leave minimal uncertainty, though rare data revisions or localized gauge discrepancies could theoretically adjust final figures, while historical variability shows July totals consistently exceed 100mm except in anomalous dry years.
