This market will resolve to the next individual who is officially appointed and sworn in as Prime Minister of Greece following the next parliamentary election. If an election is called early, this market will immediately resolve to the individual who is officially appointed and sworn in after that election. To count for resolution, the individual must be formally sworn-in by the specified date. Any interim or caretaker Prime Minister will not count toward the resolution of this market. If no such Prime Minister takes office by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. This market will resolve based on a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official information from the Greek government.Kyriakos Mitsotakis leads trader consensus as the next Greek prime minister due to his position as incumbent heading New Democracy, which continues to top opinion polls ahead of the scheduled 2027 parliamentary election despite support falling to the 28-30% range. Recent cabinet adjustments, proposals for tax relief and constitutional updates, and public statements ruling out an early fall vote have reinforced stability around the current government. Speculation persists over a possible snap election to counter emerging opposition, notably Alexis Tsipras’s newly formed ELAS party, which polls show as the main challenger at roughly half New Democracy’s level. Lower-priced alternatives, including former Syriza figures and minor party leaders, reflect fragmented opposition and limited momentum for change before the next vote.
