New Democracy maintains a commanding lead in trader consensus for the next Greek parliamentary election, expected by summer 2027, due to its position as the incumbent centre-right party under Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, ongoing economic measures including tax reductions, and a fragmented opposition landscape. Recent polls show ND ahead at roughly 26-31 percent, well clear of challengers such as the new ELAS grouping and PASOK-KINAL, while SYRIZA remains near the 3 percent parliamentary threshold. Policy focus on immigration controls, stability amid regional tensions, and preparations for Greece’s EU presidency reinforce the party’s standing. A realistic shift would require major opposition consolidation, an unforeseen economic reversal, or late-breaking developments within the election window that alter voter alignments before the vote.
