Oklahoma City Thunder's league-leading 17-5 record through early December drives their 90% implied probability for the NBA's best regular-season mark, bolstered by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's MVP-caliber play (30.1 PPG) and Chet Holmgren's elite rim protection amid minimal injuries. The Thunder's top-ranked offense and defense, plus a soft remaining schedule, cement trader consensus, reflecting the wisdom of crowds on their sustained pace. San Antonio Spurs (14-7) and Detroit Pistons (12-9) trail with upside from Victor Wembanyama and Cade Cunningham, but face steeper paths. Realistic challenges include OKC injuries, a West gauntlet, or East surges from Cleveland Cavaliers (18-4) or Boston Celtics catching fire post-slump.
