Luka Doncic's dominant 95.7% trader consensus in the NBA points per game leader market stems from his league-second 29.7 PPG average over 36 games—just 0.1 behind Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's 29.8 over 38—positioning him with crucial games in hand to surge ahead amid Dallas' high-usage offense that funnels scoring volume his way. Recent explosions like 41 points against Golden State underscore his elite scoring efficiency and triple-double threat, bolstering projections over Shai's steadier but slightly lower-efficiency clip. Realistic challengers include Shai widening his edge through OKC's blistering pace, injury setbacks for Doncic, or surges from Donovan Mitchell (29.0 PPG) or Anthony Edwards (28.1 PPG) if volume spikes, though the wisdom of crowds heavily discounts these amid Luka's momentum.
