This market will resolve according to the candidate who receives the most valid votes from Wayne County in the Democratic Primary for United States Senator from Michigan, which is scheduled to be held on August 4, 2026. The named candidates will be primarily ranked by the number of valid votes received in the specified election. If two or more candidates are tied on valid votes, ties will be broken by alphabetical order of the candidates' last names. This market will resolve to the candidate that occupies the highest finishing position after applying this ranking. If the Wayne County results of this election are not definitively known by December 31, 2026, this market will resolve to “Other.” This market will resolve based on a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the government of Michigan, including the Office of the Secretary of State and the government of Wayne County.Haley Stevens holds a commanding lead in Wayne County vote tabulation following the August 4 Democratic primary, reflecting strong performance in Detroit-area precincts that offset Abdul El-Sayed’s advantages in other regions. With over 95 percent of ballots counted, Stevens leads by roughly six points locally amid a statewide contest decided by under one percentage point overall. Traders have priced this outcome near certainty because county-level results show consistent margins favoring the four-term congresswoman in the most populous jurisdiction, with remaining absentee and provisional ballots unlikely to reverse the gap. El-Sayed’s progressive coalition performed better elsewhere, but Wayne County’s scale and composition anchored Stevens’ position. Late shifts remain theoretically possible only if unreported ballots produce an unprecedented swing exceeding historical norms in similar urban primaries.
