Recent polling averages place Die Linke in third position for the September 20 Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Landtag election, with roughly 10-12% support ahead of the CDU at 6-8%, the Greens near 5%, and the BSW at 4-5%. AfD and SPD lead the field. This ordering has held steady across multiple September surveys from institutes including Infratest dimap, Forschungsgruppe Wahlen, and INSA. The CDU’s continued decline in the state, following weak eastern results elsewhere, has widened the gap for third place. Smaller parties remain near or below the 5% entry threshold. Trader consensus on Linke for third reflects these vote-share trends, while the narrow window before election day limits scope for late shifts in turnout or coalition signals.
