This market will resolve to the largest Indian public company by market cap on December 31, 2026, at 11:59PM ET. In the event that two listed companies merge prior to the resolution date, the merged entity will be considered to be the same company as the acquirer. If there is no clear acquirer, or if the merged entity trades under a new ticker, the merged entity will be considered to be the company that comes first alphabetically. The resolution source for this market will be the market cap rankings published by the Bombay Stock Exchange, however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The market cap rankings published by the Bombay Stock Exchange can be found here as of the launch of this market: https://www.bseindia.com/markets/equity/eqreports/topmarketcapitalization Reliance Industries maintains its dominant position as India's largest company by market cap, with trader consensus reflecting its diversified operations across energy, retail, and telecommunications through Jio Platforms. Jio's continued leadership in subscriber share and data usage, recently exceeding 524 million users with strong broadband dominance, bolsters the parent's valuation amid steady sector growth. Banks such as HDFC and ICICI, along with Bharti Airtel, trail significantly due to narrower business scopes despite solid performance in their segments. With only months until year-end 2026, limited volatility in recent stock movements and absence of major regulatory or competitive shocks reinforce the market-implied odds favoring Reliance.
