Michael J. Fox leads the guest actor in a comedy series market at 37% after his return from acting retirement for a multi-episode arc on Shrinking earned widespread acclaim and his first Emmy nod in a decade. Rob Reiner sits close behind at 29% on the strength of a posthumous nomination for The Bear, which honors his legacy while adding emotional resonance following his death. The remaining field—Hamish Linklater, Connor Storrie, Christopher McDonald, and Brett Goldstein—trails as voters weigh established names and standout episodes against the two frontrunners’ narratives. With the ceremony weeks away, guild and critics’ momentum plus any late campaign developments could still shift the narrow gap between the top contenders.
