This market will resolve based on the election results, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by Colombia's National Civil Registry (Registraduría Nacional del Estado Civil) (https://registraduria.gov.co).**Abelardo de la Espriella holds a commanding lead in trader consensus for securing the most votes from Antioquia in Colombia’s June 21 presidential runoff against Iván Cepeda Castro.** Antioquia, a traditional conservative stronghold that delivered de la Espriella roughly 54% in the May 31 first round compared to Cepeda’s 25%, has long favored right-leaning candidates on security and economic issues. De la Espriella’s outsider campaign emphasizing hardline anti-crime measures, backed by endorsements from former presidents Uribe and Duque plus evangelical networks, has reinforced this regional edge ahead of the tight national contest. Cepeda’s effort to consolidate left-leaning and centrist support faces structural headwinds in the department. While late turnout swings or unexpected events could narrow margins, the first-round results and Antioquia’s consistent electoral patterns underpin the current pricing.
