The resolution source for this market will be a consensus of official sources, including https://www.sos.ca.gov/. Any replacement of the nominees before election day will not change the resolution of the market.State Sen. Aisha Wahab holds a commanding early lead in California's June 16 special top-two primary for the open 14th congressional seat, followed by former BART board president Melissa Hernandez, with both Democrats positioned to advance past Republican contenders including Wendy Huang. Wahab's advantage stems from her state senate tenure, California Democratic Party endorsement, and fundraising edge in the East Bay district vacated after Eric Swalwell pursued a gubernatorial bid. The nonpartisan primary format in this heavily Democratic area favors intra-party competition over partisan crossover, while partial vote counts from Alameda County continue to shape trader assessments of the final top-two outcome ahead of the August 18 special general.
