The 24-year-old Bayern winger posted elite club numbers in 2025/26 with roughly 20-plus goals and 25-plus assists across competitions, translating to high goal involvement rates that have carried into international duty. Dembélé, by contrast, carries a long injury history that includes multiple muscular setbacks in 2025 and a late cramp concern during PSG’s Champions League final, raising questions about his availability and sharpness for France’s campaign despite his experience. With both players competing for attacking minutes in the same potent French side, traders appear to be pricing Olise’s superior fitness, current output, and younger profile as giving him the clearer edge in total World Cup goals.
