Alexander Zverev’s straight-sets semifinal victory over Karen Khachanov and Ben Shelton’s four-set win over Frances Tiafoe have locked in the 2026 US Open men’s singles final matchup on hard courts in New York. Zverev, the top seed and French Open champion, enters with strong recent Grand Slam form and a dominant head-to-head edge over Shelton, while the eighth-seeded American has surged on home-soil momentum after a marathon quarterfinal upset of defending champion Carlos Alcaraz. Earlier bracket volatility—including Alcaraz’s exit and several higher seeds falling—has narrowed the field, with trader consensus reflecting Zverev’s experience and consistency alongside Shelton’s athletic upside and crowd support in the remaining title match.
