Recent Swedish opinion polls ahead of the September 13 parliamentary election show Vänsterpartiet maintaining a modest but consistent edge over Miljöpartiet, with V averaging near 7.7% support and MP near 7.4% across multiple houses. V has recorded statistically significant gains since the 2022 election, including net transfers from Socialdemokraterna in Statistics Sweden data, while MP gains have been smaller and more variable. These trends, reflected in aggregates from Novus, Demoskop, and Indikator Opinion through late August, underpin trader consensus on V receiving more votes. The race remains sensitive to final turnout among left-leaning voters and any late shifts in the closely contested red-green bloc.
