Jordan Staal has established overwhelming trader consensus as the Stanley Cup Finals goals leader through his historic performance for the Carolina Hurricanes against the Vegas Golden Knights. The 37-year-old captain recorded six goals across the six-game series, including a goal in each of the first five contests and multiple high-danger tallies that set NHL records for a Final. His production, combined with strong faceoff work and power-play contributions on a line featuring Seth Jarvis and Nikolaj Ehlers, has separated him from the field. Other notables like Brett Howden, Pavel Dorofeyev, Mitch Marner, and Logan Stankoven posted strong overall playoff numbers but trailed significantly in the championship round. Remaining uncertainty centers on any uncounted late adjustments or series extensions that could shift totals, though Staal’s margin appears decisive barring extraordinary late additions.
