The Odyssey leads trader sentiment for the 2027 Oscars Best Original Score at 40.5% implied probability, driven by Ludwig Göransson’s innovative score for Christopher Nolan’s July 2026 release, which blended ancient Greek instruments like the aulos and lyre with bronze gongs and synthesizers to critical acclaim following their prior collaborations on Oppenheimer and Tenet. Dune: Part Three sits at 13.5% as Hans Zimmer prepares another expansive orchestral effort for the December 2026 conclusion to Denis Villeneuve’s franchise. With the field wide open at this early stage—many titles trading near 50%—guild precursors, final critical reception, and box-office performance will likely narrow consensus ahead of nominations in January 2027.
