Jordan Bardella holds a commanding lead in the market for the next National Rally presidency in 2026 due to his established role as party president since 2022, strong performance in recent European and legislative contests, and broad internal support as Marine Le Pen’s designated successor focused on the 2027 presidential campaign. Recent July 2026 developments, including Le Pen’s appeal ruling and public alignment with Bardella on a joint “winning ticket” for president and prime minister, have reinforced party unity and reduced immediate succession pressure on her. Other figures remain marginal, reflecting limited organized opposition within RN structures. Potential shifts could arise from an unexpected leadership contest triggered by Le Pen reclaiming the post, Bardella’s performance in upcoming votes, or emergence of credible internal challengers ahead of any scheduled party vote.
