As HDZ BiH’s candidate and vice president, she benefits from the party’s dominant position among Croat voters in the Federation, organizational reach, and explicit backing from Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković and the HDZ. The market reflects concerns over vote fragmentation, with Slaven Kovačević positioned as the Democratic Front’s successor to term-limited incumbent Željko Komšić on a civic-oriented platform, and Zdenko Lučić backed by a smaller opposition “Petorka” coalition focused on internal Croat party reform. Recent candidate nominations and list submissions in mid-2026 have reinforced HDZ’s structural advantage while highlighting persistent debates over electoral rules that allow Bosniak voters to influence the Croat representative.
