**Stranger Things** Season 5 wrapped its Netflix-exclusive run with a multi-volume release culminating in the New Year's Eve 2025 finale, drawing massive viewership and critical acclaim for its epic closure. No new canonical episodes have debuted since, despite high Polymarket volume on release timing and platforms; Netflix retains full IP rights, including the in-development animated spin-off *Stranger Things: Tales from '85*. The Duffer Brothers' Paramount deal signals future projects elsewhere but preserves *Stranger Things* continuity at the streamer, bolstered by January 2026's making-of documentary. Traders eye spin-off precursor awards buzz and guild nods as momentum signals, with physical media box sets arriving July 2026 amid streaming metric scrutiny for renewal hints. Rapid shifts could stem from surprise trailers or licensing news.

For the purposes of this market, an “episode” must be listed as a distinct episode of Stranger Things on Netflix and be playable for general subscribers in the United States. A behind-the-scenes featurette, documentary, trailer, recap, cast interview, deleted scenes compilation, or other bonus content will not count unless it is clearly presented by Netflix as an official numbered or titled episode of the series.
If Netflix releases an alternate cut, extended cut, or “secret” version of an already-released episode, it will not count unless it is listed as a separate episode entry on Netflix.
The primary resolution source for this market will be the Stranger Things title page on Netflix (episode list and availability), however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
