This market will resolve to "Yes" if Senator Mitch McConnell of Kentucky casts a vote in the United States Senate on any bill, resolution, nomination, motion, or any other measure between market creation and August 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET. The resolution source for this market will be the United States Senate; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Mitch McConnell has not cast a Senate vote since mid-June 2026 due to ongoing recovery from a fall and mild pneumonia that led to extended hospitalization and rehabilitation. The 84-year-old Kentucky Republican, who announced his retirement from the Senate at the end of his term in January 2027, was discharged from rehab on August 6 but remained under doctors' orders for intensive physical therapy at home and was not medically cleared to return to the chamber. The Senate entered its scheduled August recess shortly afterward, with no reported return or floor activity by McConnell before August 31. Trader consensus at 100% on "No" reflects these confirmed health and scheduling constraints. Late developments such as an unexpected medical clearance or special session could theoretically have shifted the outcome, though none materialized within the resolution window.
