The resolution source for this market will be a consensus of official Republican sources, including https://www.rnc.org/. Any replacement of the nominee before election day will not change the resolution of the market.Terri DeBoer secured overwhelming trader consensus in the Michigan 3rd Congressional District Republican primary due to her decades-long visibility as a West Michigan broadcast meteorologist, which provided broad local name recognition ahead of the August 4, 2026, contest. Her campaign also demonstrated a clear fundraising advantage over the sole listed opponent, Ryan Cushman, a National Guard veteran and businessman, enabling stronger outreach in a low-turnout primary environment. These elements combined to produce a decisive result that aligned with the market's near-certainty pricing. Certification delays, late provisional ballot shifts, or unforeseen legal challenges remain the only realistic paths that could alter the outcome before final resolution.
