Andreeva, fresh off upsetting Iga Świątek in Stuttgart, advanced past Panna Udvardy, while qualifiers like Kraus and Arango carry momentum on the high-altitude red clay, fostering a closely contested race with no clear path for top seed Aryna Sabalenka despite her straight-sets opener.
