This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed team finishes 2nd (runner-up) in the 2026 Liga MX Apertura competition final phase. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". In the event of a tie, this market will resolve to the team officially recognized by Liga MX as finishing in second place in the Apertura final phase. If multiple teams are officially awarded second place, the market will resolve to the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed club to finish 2nd in the 2026 Liga MX Apertura competition (e.g. they are mathematically unable to achieve enough points), the market will resolve to "No". If the 2026 Liga MX Apertura is cancelled, postponed after December 27, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no 2nd place team declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source will be official information from Liga MX. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.**Early-season parity across Liga MX's Apertura 2026 keeps the fight for second place wide open after seven matchdays.** Club América leads the tabla general on 16 points, but Guadalajara sits just two behind with a game in hand, while Toluca, Tijuana, and Atlas remain within striking distance on 13 points each and Cruz Azul holds 12. Atlante's surprising market position reflects its solid start in its return to the top flight, though deeper into the 17-game phase, roster depth, injury management, and fixture congestion from Leagues Cup recovery will likely separate contenders. Traditional powers like Monterrey and Tigres trail early but retain upside through squad quality and schedule. With no team pulling clear and points tightly clustered from second to mid-table, trader consensus prices reflect the realistic chance for several clubs to finish second depending on form swings and key results in the coming weeks.
