This consensus, tempered by high humidity and monsoon moisture that can suppress afternoon heating through cloud cover and rainfall, drives the tightly clustered market-implied odds around 30–32 °C. Subtle differences in steering flow and precipitation timing explain the spread: stronger convection or earlier rain lowers peaks toward 30 °C, while clearer breaks allow brief pushes above 32 °C. Historical July baselines near 29 °C and current subtropical ridge positioning further anchor trader assessments of these narrow thresholds ahead of final observational data.
