Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.Official Met Office forecasts for London on August 19 indicate a maximum of 23–24 °C under sunny intervals with scattered showers, establishing the market-implied 25 °C outcome through close alignment with observed model consensus and historical August baselines near 22 °C. This positioning reflects aggregated trader assessment of stable westerly flow and limited diurnal heating potential, consistent with recent cooling after the mid-August heatwave. A realistic challenge would require unexpected prolonged clear skies or a sharp ridge strengthening that pushes readings above the forecast envelope, though current guidance shows low probability of such deviation before resolution.
