Lula holds a commanding lead in Rio Grande do Norte polling for first place in the October 4 first round, with recent state surveys showing him at 47-56% against Flávio Bolsonaro in the low-to-mid 20s and other contenders in single digits. This positioning reflects the incumbent's consistent strength in Northeast states, where PT support remains elevated relative to national averages amid the broader race. Traders price the outcome at 97.7% for Lula, aligning with these margins and historical regional patterns. A late surge by Flávio Bolsonaro or another right-leaning candidate, driven by national momentum or turnout shifts, could narrow the gap, though current evidence indicates limited scope for overtaking in this state before election day.
