Lula maintains a dominant position in Piauí polling for the 2026 first round, reflecting the state's status as a core PT stronghold where he posted his strongest 2022 national results at 74% of valid votes. State-specific surveys from AtlasIntel and Datafolha through August show Lula at 60-65% against Flávio Bolsonaro in the mid-teens and other candidates in low single digits, supported by approval ratings near 67-77%. The president's September 9 visit to Teresina for infrastructure events and a rally with Governor Rafael Fonteles underscores ongoing base mobilization less than a month before voting. This regional pattern underpins the 98% trader consensus, though national campaign shifts or unexpected developments could still influence final margins.
