Alaska's 2026 Senate and governor races remain tightly linked under ranked-choice voting, with the Senate contest between incumbent Republican Dan Sullivan and Democrat Mary Peltola serving as the primary driver of combo market pricing. Recent polling averages show the Senate race within 1-2 points either way, reflecting Peltola's strong name recognition and rural support against Sullivan's incumbency in a state that favored Republicans in the prior presidential cycle. The open governor seat, where Democrat Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins faces multiple Republicans including Bernadette Wilson after the August primary, adds further uncertainty as forecasts rate it likely Republican but note limited general-election data and potential vote consolidation effects. Traders price a Democratic sweep near even odds because Peltola's competitiveness offsets the structural Republican advantage in the governor race, while split outcomes stay viable pending final turnout patterns and any late shifts in candidate positioning before November.

A candidate will be considered to represent a party by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with the party. Candidates who run as independents will not be encompassed by the “Democrat” or “Republican” options regardless of any affiliation they may have with the party.
If the results of these elections are not conclusively known by March 31, 2027, or if an independent or third-party candidate wins one of these elections, this market will resolve to "Other".
For purposes of this market, a "sweep" is when a party wins both races.
The resolution source for this market is the Associated Press, Fox News, and NBC. This market will resolve once all three sources have conclusively called the relevant Senate and Gubernatorial elections. If all three sources do not achieve consensus in calling the relevant races for this market, it will resolve based on the official certification.
