Rick and Morty Season 9 premiered on Adult Swim on May 24 with the episode “There’s Something About Morty,” immediately confirming Evil Morty’s return as a central antagonist. The installment picks up lingering multiverse threads from prior seasons, placing the eye-patch-wearing Morty in direct conflict with Rick C-137 through blackmail involving the Omega Device and high-stakes action sequences. This early, prominent integration aligns with the show’s pattern of featuring the character in odd-numbered seasons and drives the market’s near-certain consensus on a “Yes” outcome. Subsequent weekly episodes through late July could introduce additional appearances, though the premiere alone locks in the resolution criteria with no realistic path to an upset.
