Madonna’s “Confessions II – The Film” holds the strongest market-implied position at 34.5% among the seven nominees in the returning Best Dance category, fueled by her overall 11 VMA nods, the visual’s additional placements in choreography and direction, and her scheduled opening performance at the September 27 ceremony. Tate McRae’s “Nobody’s Girl” follows closely at 31%, supported by its separate best choreography nod and strong fan engagement. Slayyyter’s “DANCE…” and PinkPantheress + Zara Larsson’s “Stateside” sit just behind at 29–29.5%, reflecting solid streaming and critical buzz but narrower precursor momentum. Lady Gaga and Doechii’s “Runway” at 24% benefits from high-profile collaboration status, while Harry Styles and Bebe Rexha & Faithless trail further. With fan voting closing September 25, late shifts in social momentum or last-minute campaign pushes could still tighten or upend the tight pack.
