Toronto Blue Jays (4-2) enter their three-game series opener at Guaranteed Rate Field against a slumping Chicago White Sox (1-5) team, with Dylan Cease (0-0, 1.69 ERA, 12 K in debut) starting for Toronto opposite White Sox RHP Garrett Taylor. The Jays' hot early-season form in the AL East contrasts Chicago's AL Central struggles, amplified by White Sox outfielder Everson Pereira's day-to-day ankle issue and pitchers like Mike Vasil on the injured list post-Tommy John surgery. Toronto's rotation is thinned by José Berríos (elbow, out until mid-April) and Shane Bieber's inflammation, yet Cease's strikeout prowess and overall momentum shape trader consensus toward the visitors in this matchup.
