The Pittsburgh Pirates visit the Houston Astros for a three-game series at Daikin Park beginning June 2, with the Astros seeking to build on a combined no-hitter from late May while managing multiple injuries, including to Jose Altuve. Pittsburgh enters with momentum from recent wins, including walk-off heroics and power from Oneil Cruz, plus strong outings from Paul Skenes, leaving the club near .500 and eyeing a playoff push through potential roster moves. Houston’s home advantage and veteran core remain factors, yet inconsistent results and bullpen or rotation adjustments from the injury list shape the matchup against a Pirates squad showing improved form and depth in recent weeks.
