Recent impeachment proceedings in the Nuevo León Congress represent the primary catalyst for trader focus on Samuel García's tenure. The Anti-Corruption Commission approved advancing a political trial against the governor on allegations of diverting nearly one billion pesos in public funds to family-linked firms, marking the third such effort during his term. García has until June 23 to respond, after which the full 42-member legislature must secure at least 28 votes to forward the case to the state superior tribunal, with a potential final ruling projected for mid-August. Opposition parties hold the commission majority, while García's Movimiento Ciudadano bloc and public approval ratings near 63 percent provide counter-pressure. No scheduled elections or voluntary resignation signals have emerged, though legislative votes and any related court actions within the market window could alter removal probabilities.
