Any replacement of the nominee before election day will not change the resolution of the market.Dan Green secured the Republican nomination for Florida's 9th congressional district in the August 18, 2026 primary, finishing with 25.4% of the vote in a seven-candidate field and narrowly ahead of Ben Butler. Traders assign him near-certain probability due to certified results and projections from outlets including Decision Desk HQ, reflecting endorsements from figures such as Jim Jordan and fundraising momentum in the newly redrawn district. Other candidates, including veterans Marcus Carter and Steve Rance, received minimal support. Late recounts or certification disputes remain possible in close primaries, though current vote margins and rapid projections limit realistic paths for reversal before market resolution.
