Lula maintains a commanding lead in Pernambuco polling for the October 2026 first-round presidential vote, with recent Quaest and Datafolha surveys showing him at 54-57% against Flávio Bolsonaro in the low 20s and all other tested names in single digits. Traders reflect this positioning through the incumbent's elevated approval ratings near 62% in the state, driven by steady government evaluations and regional voter patterns favoring his Workers' Party base. No major shifts in candidate eligibility, coalition alignments, or state-level events have altered the gap in the past month. Scenarios that could narrow the margin include late surges by regional figures or changes in turnout among key demographics ahead of the October 4 ballot.
