Rick Devens captured the Big Brother Season 28 title in a 6-1 jury vote over runner-up Taylor Brown at the October 1 live finale, driving the market's overwhelming 100% consensus on his victory. The Survivor alum's dominant run featured multiple competition wins, strategic alliances including with fellow returnee Dee Valladares, and a pivotal final Head of Household sweep that let him evict Drew Campbell before facing Brown. Jury members highlighted his social gameplay and influence as decisive factors in the lopsided result, which also included Devens claiming America's Favorite Houseguest honors. An upset would have required a dramatic last-minute jury shift or an unforeseen rule change, both highly improbable given the locked-in vote and post-finale confirmation.
