Note: the resolution source for this market reports unemployment to one decimal point. Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. The BLS Employment Situation report released September 4 confirmed the August unemployment rate held steady at 4.1 percent, matching July and aligning precisely with the market-implied consensus. Nonfarm payrolls rose 162,000, labor force participation edged up to 61.6 percent, and the number of unemployed remained near 7.0 million, reflecting stable labor-market conditions amid cooling but still resilient demand. This official print, backed by household survey data, drove the near-certain pricing as traders with capital at stake rapidly incorporated the verified figure. Future revisions are possible but historically modest for the headline rate, while the next BLS release in early October will set the baseline for subsequent months.
