Matteo Arnaldi and Raphael Collignon meet in the French Open third round on outdoor clay, with both players arriving on strong runs after upsetting higher-ranked opponents. Arnaldi advanced by defeating former finalist Stefanos Tsitsipas in four sets, while Collignon eliminated fifth seed Ben Shelton without facing a break point. Collignon holds the higher ranking and has shown recent consistency on the surface, though Arnaldi brings baseline resilience suited to slower conditions. The pair has no prior head-to-head history. The outcome hinges on serve effectiveness, return play in extended rallies, and handling of the physical demands of a potential five-set match at this stage of the Grand Slam.
