Drake’s strong positioning for the #2 spot on Spotify’s 2026 year-end artist chart stems primarily from his May 2026 triple-album drop, which delivered record single-day streams and vaulted him into the top three year-to-date behind Bad Bunny. Traders see his consistent catalog performance, high monthly listeners near 97 million, and ongoing promotional momentum as key differentiators against a crowded field that includes Taylor Swift’s established base, Bruno Mars’ recent surges, and Ariana Grande’s lower implied probability. With roughly half the year remaining and chart positions still fluid, upcoming releases, tour-driven streaming spikes, and competitive drops from other high-volume acts represent the main swing factors that could shift the current market consensus.
