Ranked No. 12 with a robust 12-4 record in 2026, Bencic enters after a first-round win, contrasting Yastremska's No. 54 ranking and inconsistent season win rate around 40%, despite her straight-sets victory over Anna Zakharova in the opener. Yastremska discussed adapting to clay post-match, while Bencic's surface experience and recent health recovery from February illness tilt trader sentiment her way; no fresh injuries reported, with outdoor conditions potentially favoring the Swiss veteran's baseline game.
